ZymeQuest is developing and will manufacture and sell enzymatic conversion systems to regional blood centers for use in converting groups A, B and AB red blood cells to enzyme converted group O (ECO) red blood cells.
Our enzyme conversion system consists of:
Enzymes to convert non-O red cells to ECO red cells.
Specific solutions and reagents needed to perform enzyme conversion.
A fully automated device in which the conversion procedure is carried out.
A sterile, single-use plastic disposable processing kit.
Our conversion system is unique to ZymeQuest and our proprietary technology is based on a comprehensive international patent portfolio, trade secrets and certain exclusive license agreements.
ZymeQuest has completed Phase I and Phase II clinical trials of its B conversion system and is working toward the start of clinical trials of its group A conversion system.
